Eligibility

CUNY/UA schools are open to NYC public school families citywide — students are not required to live in a specific zone to apply.

Citywide vs. zoned

All 44 CUNY/UA schools are citywide, meaning any NYC student can apply regardless of home address, unlike zoned schools tied to a neighborhood.

Grade levels served

Most CUNY/UA schools serve grades 9–12; some offer early college pathways through grade 14.
